Environmental Certification Overview
Environmental certifications are not transparent enough of a companies environmental impact and are not as informative as they can be. That's why at Woop Environmental we have developed a new system of certifications to better certify your business and to better educate the consumer on what businesses are sustainable and why. Through these certifications we aim to help your business reach new sustainability goals that we will help you set and implement. Sustainable business is not only the future but it is the best way to get the most out of your current business. Take a look below at our 5-level certification system.
In Depth Level Explanations
Level 1: Company culture strives for sustainability. The company engages in sustainable behaviors and methods. This can be things as efficient use heating and lighting systems, proper settings on equipment to reduce environmental impact, and use of sustainable products throughout the entire company.
Level 2: Company recycles at least 50% of its waste and uses at least 50% sustainable energy. The sustainable energy can also be achieved by a 50% reduction in electricity or natural gas use.
Level 3: Companies water use, and emissions is below their relative amount under the ecosystem’s carrying capacity. This means that the company customer amount, employee amount, and facility amount are averaged, with this number we can give a business a specific amount of water use and emissions they can release that will keep them under their allotted carrying capacity of the ecosystem they are in.
Level 4: Company uses fully sustainable energy and has designed a product that in production does not harm the planet, during use it does not harm the planet, and has a plan to properly recycle the product. The product should be easy to recycle for other uses by not contaminating the technical and biological nutrients of it. The company can also design the product and production to easily use their previous products at the end of their life cycles to manufacture their new ones.
Level 5: Fully sustainable energy, 100% of waste is recycled. Product and production of the product do not in any way harm the environment. Company has a full circular business model in place in which not only has 0 negative impact, but also creates as much of a positive impact to the environment as it does to the economy it’s in through its product.
